ICAR-Indian Institute of Wheat & Barley Research, Karnal has developed a new variety of wheat, DBW 327 (DBW 327). This variety is ready in 155 days. The productivity of the new variety of wheat is 79.4 quintals per hectare. According to ICAR, the productivity of the improved wheat variety DBW 327 is 79.4 quintals per hectare. It has been developed for the plains of North Western India. DBW 327 has higher zinc content as compared to other popular wheat varieties. It contains 40.6 ppm zinc while popular varieties contain 30.0-32.0 ppm zinc. It is cultivated in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan (except Kota and Udaipur divisions) and western Uttar Pradesh (except Jhansi division), Jammu and Kathua districts of Jammu and Kashmir, Paonta Valley and Una districts of Himachal Pradesh and Terai of Uttarakhand. Can be done in areas.
